Virtual Visits

Welcome to Decatur Pediatric Group’s Telemedicine Program!

Decatur Pediatric Group is excited to announce our new telemedicine program. We invite you to try this new added program. We are able to offer you an opportunity to connect with one of our providers for an on demand/urgent visit, chronic illness management or with a specialist through our telehealth program. A Telehealth practice uses live or real time video and sound to connect you with one of our providers at a different location. A virtual visit with a specialist allows you to be in our office and the specialist is in their office. You will travel only as far as our office for the telehealth appointment.

Decatur Pediatric Group’s Express Care Online program is designed for children 2 years of age and up and can treat many typical illnesses including:

  • Allergies (Seasonal)
  • Conjunctivitis (Pink Eye)
  • Common Cold
  • Diaper Rash
  • Influenza (Flu)

Decatur Pediatric Group’s Chronic Care Online program can manage many conditions including the following:

  • ADHD
  • Anxiety
  • Rashes
  • Asthma follow up visits
  • Behavioral Health Concerns
  • Obesity/overweight management

What are the Benefits of Virtual Visits?

Fast and Convenient: See a provider by live video and get a diagnosis within minutes. When appropriate, you also can get a prescription to the pharmacy of your choice.

Affordable: The cost of a virtual visit is typically covered by most insurance companies. However if it is not, the virtual visit costs less than an urgent care or emergency room visit.

Secure: Your personal health information is safe and sound during your virtual visit.

We use secure software to connect with you during the visit and a medical assistant will be in the exam room with you. We will all be able to see your child’s inner ear, mouth and listen to their heart and lungs during the appointment. Telehealth will help us coordinate your child’s care.  One of our staff members may be calling you to ask if you would be interested in participating in our telehealth program.

Sincerely,

The Providers of Decatur Pediatric Group
